For our annual anniversary trip this year we decided to go on an Alaskan cruise. We LOVED it! It was absolutely beautiful, relaxing and fun!
Here we are setting sail from Seattle.
An endless supply of awesome food.
This was our first formal night.
Our fist stop: Ketchikan, Alaska. It was such a charming little town nestled in the gorgeous Alaskan mountains.
Cruising through the Tracey Arm Fjord. We could see the ice pieces floating in the water and even glimpsed bald eagles and bears right from the comfort of the ship.
Our ship....sigh. It became our home very quickly. Except in this home we could have room service delivered anytime day or night, someone always cleaned up after us, made our bed and left us mints, we had a wonderful view of the ocean from our window...you get the idea. :)
Our next stop: Juneau, Alaska. We took a little hike up to the Mendenhall Glacier which had a waterfall about 200 yards away. Gorgeous.
We absolutely loved this couple. They are our new buddies the Reisings. Unfortunately they live in Indianapolis :( That makes get togethers a bit tricky but we hope to travel with them in the future.
They were like the icing on the cake of an already awesome trip. Corny I know...but true.
Next up: Skagway, Alaska. An adorable little mining town that doesn't seem to have changed a whole lot since the early 1900's (oh, except they did shut down the brothels in 1985...can you believe it took that long? he he)
A little baby black bear climbing a tree. You can see the mama off the the right too.
We went ziplining through the Alaskan forest. Breathtaking.
Last stop: Victoria, Canada. We hit some rough weather so we got in late. We only had a few hours of daylight but it was such a charming and beautiful city.
